Are you unhappy with the alignment of your teeth, especially those within the smile zone? You aren’t alone. Misaligned teeth are one of the many reasons people visit our dental office. The good news is that several treatments are available to correct crooked teeth.
Porcelain veneers from I-Rise Dental Boutique are one way to correct misaligned teeth. These wafer-thin porcelain sheaths are bonded on the front-facing teeth to make them appear straighter and evenly balanced. But are they effective? Stick around to discover more.Â
Porcelain veneers are one of the most popular treatments in cosmetic dentistry because of their dramatic transformations. Porcelain veneers are customized to the exact specifications of your teeth and help enhance the color, shape, and size of your teeth. When placed on your teeth, dental veneers can help to correct:
Indeed, dental veneers can correct numerous cosmetic flaws. But can they correct crooked teeth? The answer isn’t straightforward.
Do you have one or two teeth that are not in line with the rest? You don’t have to commit to months or years of treatment with clear aligners or metal braces. Porcelain veneers can enhance the appearance of misaligned teeth. Known as instant orthodontics, porcelain veneers can address mild orthodontic issues to give you a straight, evenly balanced smile.
It’s important to understand that dental veneers don’t correct underlying issues; they cover them up. Your dentist will apply veneers to your crooked teeth to create the illusion of straightness. Orthodontic treatment is the best if you want to physically reposition your teeth.
Whether correcting discoloration, unevenness, or misalignment with veneers, you need at least two dental appointments. Your treatment starts with a consultation with Dr. Anu Mohan. We’ll inspect your teeth to determine your eligibility for veneers. If so, the dentist will numb your gums and remove about 0.5mm of the enamel to create space for your veneers. Don’t worry! This process is minimally invasive and won’t damage your teeth. The remaining structure will be healthy and stable enough to support optimal functionality.
After tooth preparation, we’ll digitally scan your teeth and send the records to a dental lab to fabricate your veneers. Until your new restorations are ready, we’ll place interim veneers over your prepped teeth. The second visit is to install your veneers. Dr. Mohan will remove the temporaries and try the fit and appearance of your new veneers. After a few adjustments, we’ll use permanent adhesives to bond your veneers in place.
The industry average cost of porcelain veneers is $2,000-$3,000 per tooth. Based on that price, a full set of veneers is expensive, especially since insurance doesn’t cover cosmetic treatments. But here’s the good news: we offer flexible dental financing through CareCredit, allowing you to manage your payments with affordable, low-cost installments.
