- Nitrous oxide (laughing gas): We will place a mask over your nose for you to inhale the gas to help you relax while we are working on your teeth.Â
-  Oral sedation: For oral sedation, you’ll be given a pill to be taken about an hour before your treatment. This pill will make you drowsy to minimize the effects of stress, anxiety, and fear.Â
- IV sedation: IV sedation provides strong relaxing effects and is reserved mainly for oral surgery. The medication is administered through your blood and takes effect immediately. You may fall asleep during treatment. Afterward, you may have little memory of what occurred during your treatment. Should you request IV sedation, our team will call in an anesthesiologist for the procedure to administer the IV sedation.
