Integrative Approach to Patient Care

For example, we have a patient come-in for implants; the doctor notices that the patient has periodontal issues that needs to be resolved first – as that would greatly affect the successful osseo-integration of the implants. As a first step, a patient is treatment planned for 6 month’s of clear-aligner therapy to fix the mal-occlusion issues & adjunctly laser therapy with the Nd-Yag laser is adjudicated inorder to return homeostasis in the gums. After these treatments and the doctor is happy with patients’ gum health, implants will be placed after necessary planning with available imaging and AI tools. This approach greatly enhances the patients chances of received a foreign object (like an implant) into their jawbone and successfully fuse with it. This holistic approach of using the tools of periodontal care, laser dentistry, clear aligner therapy and implant dentistry; ensures optimal results and long-term success for our patients.

Dr. Mohan's philosophy

"I-Rise Dental Boutique is not your typical drill-fill-bill practice. We value and treat you as the unique person that you are – you are more than a set of teeth and gums to us. At heart, we tailor all recommendations to your one-of-a-kind needs, both for your smile and your 'whole self.' So, e.g., a patient comes in for a couple of single implants, and we see that there are underlying periodontal issues that could hurt the chances of the jaw bone receiving a successful implant. In this case, we would address these issues first with a LANAP/LAPIP treatment before placing implants.

All our treatment recommendations are made with the patient's unique and best interests first. As good as prosthetic teeth may be, no tooth is better than the one that grew with you naturally. Likewise, we will not simply remove healthy teeth to accommodate treatments unless there is a valid reason. Backed by this philosophy, you can trust that your treatments will support your best overall health now and well into the future."

We might see a patient who wants dental implants. However, the doctor sees periodontal issues that might make the patient a non-candidate for dental implants. Maybe a combination of clear aligners & Lanap therapies might be recommended by the Dr. to heal the gums and related issues and get homeostasis with the microbiome in the mouth. Once resolved, the office might help with dental implants. Also, Dr.Mohan totally believes in leaving a natural, healthy, live tooth in place and does not believe in the approach of just yanking out all your teeth and putting in all-on-4 dental implants, which some practices do.
